Five Point Friday

30 Aug 2019/Start the Conversation

Here’s your roundup of the five most interesting things I’m enjoying or thinking about this week.

CBS Senior Contributor, Ted Koppel, pulled together a solid spot covering the less than glamours life of players outside the top-rankings including a sit down with Noah Rubin who’s had a career-high ranking of 125 in the world.

Behind the Racquet

If you haven’t had a chance to check it out, Noah Rubin featured in the video above, has a compelling Instagram account Behind the Racquet @noahrubin33 that’s well worth a follow.

The account chronicles unexpected stories and struggles of a wide range of tennis players including Madison Keys, Nicole Gibbs, Petra Kvitová, Andrey Rublev, and more.

WTA Tennis Players + 90s Tech

Watch as the WTA challenges players to use 90s tech, including a rotary phone, walkman, VHS tape, and more! This video is pretty entertaining if you were born well before the 90s.

If you have a moment, I’d love to hear your feedback. Which topic is your favorite? What would you like to see more or less of each week?

Share your thoughts in the comments below and have a great weekend.
