Tennis isn’t just a sport—it’s been a lifelong passion of mine. Thanks to my parents, I picked up a racquet at age five and never looked back.
In 2013, I created TennisCompanion to help players of all levels discover the joy of the game through trusted advice, gear reviews, and helpful resources. Read the full story here or join as a member of the community.
I’ve been playing the sport for over 37 years and teaching for more than a decade, helping players develop strong fundamentals, embrace intelligent strategy, and build a lasting love for the game they can enjoy for a lifetime.
Along the way, I’ve pursued certifications and joined professional organizations that support my commitment to the sport, including:
While I don’t compete as often as I’d like to these days, I keep up with the NTRP, UTR, and WTN ranking systems to remain connected with the evolving landscape of player development and better guide others on their own tennis journey.
Whether I’m coaching on the court or testing racquets, strings, and gear in the lab, my goal is simple: to give players clear, honest insights that help them play their best tennis and have a blast out on the court.
Off the court, I’m a bit of a gear nerd, but tennis isn’t my only passion. I love cooking, sailing, surfing, snowboarding, staying fit, taking photos, and playing guitar and singing. These outlets keep me grounded and fuel the creativity I bring to every article I write.
Before launching TennisCompanion, I was VP of Marketing and Growth at TakeLessons, an education company acquired by Microsoft in 2021. The experience sharpened my perspective on building impactful and engaging learning experiences.
