With the Australian Open kicking off on January 18th one heat expert is calling for changes in their heat policy which currently kicks in at 40 degrees celsius or 104 degrees fahrenheit. Read the full article here.
What’s your take? Should event organizers consider a suspending play at a lower temperature or do you think the current Australian Open heat policy is sufficient?
I feel the current is sufficient because it’s certainly not that this the first time this slam would take place…there have been hundreds of players who have played this heat and have played pretty good…it’s a different story if the temperatures go really extreme and this situation is already being handled by the current policy
