Five Point Friday

Here’s your roundup of the five most interesting things I’m enjoying or thinking about this week.

1.) Federer’s Documentary

After the ATP Finals, Roger Federer and Alexander Zverev hoped on a jet to play five exhibition matches throughout Latin America, including their record-setting match in Mexico City.

ESPN tagged along to produce a quick 30-minute video documenting their experience. Their experience was covered on social media, but I enjoyed going behind the scenes.

2.) 2019 ATP Challenger Bloopers

From snakes on the court to clay dust storms, and more than a fair share of wipeouts, this entertaining 3-minute video recapping ATP Challenge bloopers has it all.

3.) Match-Fixing – It’s Big this Time

Match-fixing is an ongoing battle for the tennis world, especially at lower levels of the sport. The number of players suspected to be involved this time around is a staggering 135, including a top 30 player suggested to have won a few titles.

It’s an unfortunate reality for our sport and a story that we’re sure to hear more about in the New Year.

4.) Backhand Tips with Borna Coric

Struggling with your two-handed backhand? World #28, Borna Coric, offers a few tips to help you get it right.

5.) Kyrgios 2019 Highlight Reel

If there were a leaderboard for highlight reels, Nick Kyrgios would sit right at the top this year. From his underarm serves to his lethal forehand, ridiculous tweeners, and silly on-court antics, he loves to put on a show.

If you have a moment, I’d love to hear your feedback. Which topic is your favorite? What would you like to see more or less of each week?
