Five Point Friday
Here’s your roundup of the five most interesting things I’m enjoying or thinking about this week in tennis.
1.) Axiom Racquet Bag v2 [Review]
Leading the pack with a few other innovative bag companies, Geau Sport’s second-generation Axiom racquet bag delivers clean aesthetics, high-performance materials, and creative design. In my latest review, I explore everything the bag has to offer, including opportunities for improvement, so you can decide if it meets your needs.
2.) Boulter Back in Round 3
For the second year in a row, wild card Katie Boulter has found her way into Wimbledon’s third round. Last year, France’s Harmony Tan cut her run short, so she’ll look to improve upon that result as the last-standing female British tennis player in the draw.
3.) Federer Honored at Wimbledon
Welcomed to the Royal Box at Wimbledon before Andy Murrya’s first-round match, Roger Federer received a rousing welcome from fans at the stadium. Following the match, he also briefly interacted with Andy as he approved the win. Oh, and in case you missed it, Roger played the shaker on stage with Coldplay this week.

4.) Vodafone’s Wimbledon Tech
Vodafone is trialing 5G-powered GiveVision headsets on Center Court and Court No. 1 at Wimbledon to assist visually impaired tennis fans. Live footage from TV cameras is streamed to the headsets and enhanced to suit each person’s specific sight profile. Testers can also toggle modes and use the camera phone in the headset to focus on specific parts of the match.
5.) Protestors at Wimbledon
Just Stop Oil protestors have interrupted play at Wimbledon twice, running onto court 18, spreading colorful confetti and jigsaw puzzle pieces, and halting play. Since then, Wimbledon has stopped selling the puzzles and tightened security, resulting in longer than usual delays for fans entering the grounds.
If you have a moment, I’d love to hear your feedback. Which topic is your favorite? What would you like to see more or less of each week?
