Five Point Friday
Here’s your roundup of the five most interesting things I’m enjoying or thinking about this week.
1.) Serena’s Return
On Tuesday, Wimbledon announced Serena William’s acceptance of a wild card for her 21st appearance at The Championships. Right around the same time, Serena dropped a hint as well. She hasn’t competed since Wimbledon last year, when she injured her leg in the first round. Before Wimbledon, she’ll play doubles with Ons Jabeur in Eastbourne, England, as a warm-up.
The stage awaits.

2.) Arthur Ashe in Pictures
Ahead of their new film, Citizen Ashe, set to air this Sunday, June 26, at 9 pm ET/PT, CNN published a series of photos showcasing Arthur Ashe’s life. It’s an excellent collection that’s well worth a quick look. You can also catch the trailer for the new film below.
3.) Grass Court Tennis Quiz
How well do you know grass-court tennis? Test your knowledge in this 15-question quiz, which gives you the answers as you go. Your final score is displayed once you get to the end.
4.) The US Opens Decision
On Tuesday, the US Open announced they’d allow players from Russia and Belarus to compete at this year’s tournament under a neutral flag, taking the opposite stance as Wimbledon.
5.) Muguruza’s Tennis Prep
In a quick behind-the-scenes video, Garbine Muguruza shows players and fans the detailed wrapping and prep she does to protect her feet before every practice and match.
If you have a moment, I’d love to hear your feedback. Which topic is your favorite? What would you like to see more or less of each week?
