Five Point Friday
Here’s your roundup of the five most interesting things I’m enjoying or thinking about this week in tennis.
1.) Miami Open Wrapping Up
The second leg of the Sunshine Double will come to a close this weekend, with the Miami Open reaching its final stages. The ladies final will be on Saturday, followed by the men’s on Sunday. Grab your popcorn!
2.) Andreescu’s Painful Injury
Playing some of her best tennis in recent months at the Miami Open, Bianca Andreescu suffered a painful tear of two ligaments in her left ankle during her fourth-round match. Despite the setback, Bianca remains optimistic about a speedy recovery and return.
Mortifying scenes in Miami as Bianca Andreescu falls and hurts herself.
This audio is heartbreaking to listen to.
“I’ve never felt this kind of pain before.”
Bianca does not deserve this again.

Woke up with a brace on my foot… anyone know what happened? ????????
On a serious note tho… that was the worst pain I’ve ever felt… praying for nothing serious. Still waiting on official results. Thank you everyone for your thoughts and kind words, doesn’t go unnoticed ????????

3.) Nadal & Djokovic Prep on Clay
Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic might not be present for the Sunshine Double, but that doesn’t mean they’re not hard at work. Videos of them surfaced while prepping for the clay court season, which kicks off next week.
The clay court season is going to be really interesting – @RafaelNadal & @DjokerNole are getting ready! ????

4.) Badosa Hits with Ball Person
Most of us dream of hitting with a professional tennis player, but one lucky guy had his opportunity at the Miami Open. Paula Badosa handed the ball person a racket to rally and stay warm while her opponent, Laura Siegemund, took a medical timeout at 3-0 in the final set. Apparently, it worked, with Paula Closing out the match 7-6(2), 4-6, 6-2.

5.) Miss Roger? Watch This.
Fans who have missed Roger Federer since his retirement can see him alongside Trevor Noah in a short video called The Ride of a Lifetime, where the two stars take a Swiss train ride to promote tourism.
If you have a moment, I’d love to hear your feedback. Which topic is your favorite? What would you like to see more or less of each week?
