Five Point Friday
27 Sep 2019/Start the ConversationHere’s your roundup of the five most interesting things I’m enjoying or thinking about this week.
1.) Kyrgios’ 16-Week Ban + Twist
The ATP’s investigation into Kyrgios insulting a chair umpire and smashing a few racquet’s off-court last month has concluded with a 16-week ban, $25,000 fine, and a twist. He’ll only be banned if he commits similar acts of bad behavior in the next 6 months. Do you think he’ll remain composed?
2.) Nadal Coaches Federer?
Last weekend, the Laver Cup delivered action-packed tennis for fans around the world. Perhaps the best part? Behind the scenes clips including this gem where Nadal coached Federer during his tight win over Kyrgios.
.@RafaelNadal knows @rogerfederer‘s numbers and he’s not afraid to use them!

3.) Osaka’s Insane Speed
Osaka shows off her speed and impeccable touch en route to her second tournament win of the year at the Toray Pan Pacific Open in Japan.
4.) Monfils 22 Shot Lung Buster
The always entertaining Gael Monfils showed off his aestheticism along with Britain’s Cameron Norrie in this 22 shot rally that has our legs and lungs burning just watching.
5.) Seppi’s Brilliant Match Save
Leave it all out on the court they say… Italian Andreas Seppi does just that as he scrapes out his round of 16 win over Chinese tennis player Zhang Zhizhen at the Zhuhai Open.
If you have a moment, I’d love to hear your feedback. Which topic is your favorite? What would you like to see more or less of each week?
