Stockholm Open Prize Money | 2025 Breakdown & Historicals

Stockholm Open Prize Money

2025 Breakdown & Historicals

By Jon Crim
Website: Stockholm Open

Founded in 1969, the Stockholm Open is the oldest indoor ATP tournament. It takes place annually at the Kungliga Tennishallen, which translates to the Royal Tennis Hall, a stadium built in 1943.

Throughout its long history, six different Swedish players have captured the title a total of ten times, with the first being Bjorn Borg in 1980 and the last being Thomas Johansson in 2004.

The Stockholm Open hosts a 28-player singles and 16-team doubles draw on hard courts, but it’s worth noting that the tournament initially ran on carpet before switching.

For 2025, the Stockholm Open’s total prize money is €706,850, which translates to $820,684 and £615,698. It’s not the highest offered in its history, but it’s the biggest purse since 2008, with a 2% increase over last year’s prize money.

The singles champion will take home €107,490, the most of any player at the tournament, while the runner-up will pocket €62,750. These figures are 2.4% and 2.5% year-over-year increases, with fairly even gains across the board in the singles draw.

In doubles, the winners will split a €37,400 check, and the runners-up will earn €20,090. That’s also a 2.6% and 3% increase for the champs and their opponents, respectively.

The remainder of this guide provides a detailed overview and complete breakdown of the Stockholm Open’s prize money and historical data for reference and quick comparison. Currency conversions from euros to US dollars and sterling pounds are available for quick reference.

Full Breakdown

The singles tournament at the Stockholm Open has a bigger draw, so roughly 80% of the prize money funds that event, while the remaining 20% goes to doubles.

Beyond that high-level split in prize money, player earnings also vary drastically by round, with competitors earning more the further they progress. For example, the winning doubles pair will make nearly ten times as much as a team that loses in the tournament’s first round.

The following tables provide a complete breakdown by year, and you can scroll left to right to view historical numbers. I’ve also converted prize money to US dollars and sterling pounds, using the prior year’s exchange rate on the day of the final to provide a close approximation of value.
