Five Point Friday

Here’s your roundup of the five most interesting things I’m enjoying or thinking about this week.

1.) Yonex EZONE 98 [REVIEW]

In this week’s video, I dive deep and explore the 6th generation of the EZONE series to share my thoughts on the racquet. From its specs to its tech, design, and on-court performance, I share my thoughts on the racquet to help players determine if it’s a good fit for their game.

2.) Medvedev’s Year-End Success

Daniil Medvedev closed the year out strong with an impressive 10 match winning streak. Earlier this month, he claimed the Paris Masters title, and he’d go on to defeat Djokovic, Nadal, and Thiem ranked #1, #2, and #3 respectively to win the ATP Finals. He closes the year out ranked #4 in the world.

3.) Billie Jean King’s Documentary

The Dollar Rebellion: How Billie Jean King and the Original 9 Became the Change They Wanted to See is now available exclusively on Audible. In it, Billie Jean King opens up about her childhood, how she started the game, and one of her biggest achievements, forming the Original 9.

4.) On-Court 360 Camera

In one of the ATP’s latest YouTube videos, they showed the power and potential of using a 360 camera for their content, which allows you to control the camera as you watch. On a desktop computer, you click and drag the video to change the angle, while on mobile, you simply move your phone to control it. It’s a sneak peek at what’s possible, and I’m looking forward to how they might consider applying it in the future.

5.) Vasek Pospisil Discusses PTPA

In one of Tennis.com’s latest podcasts, Vasek Pospisil discusses the mission of the controversial Professional Tennis Players Association (PTPA), which he’s co-founding with Novak Djokovic.

If you have a moment, I’d love to hear your feedback. Which topic is your favorite? What would you like to see more or less of each week?
