Every year, thousands of fans convene at the Citi Open, held annually at Rock Creek Park in Washington, DC, since 1969.

Now in its 54th year, the ATP 500 tournament is one of the oldest in the United States, with a long history of exceptional tennis. A WTA 250 event has run alongside it since 2011.

This year’s tournament runs from August 1 – August 7, and it has attracted a strong field that includes Nick Kyrigios, Andre Rublev, Andy Murray, Taylor Fritz, and Grigor Dimitrov on the men’s side. On the women’s end, Jessica Pegula, Emma Raducanu, and Simona help are a few prominent names participating.

It’s worth noting that for 2022, defending champion Jannik Sinner opted out of the tournament, while no. one seed Jessica Pegula is the latest female champion and present.
