Eastbourne International Prize Money
2023 Breakdown & Historicals
Hosted at the Devonshire Park Lawn Tennis Club, the Eastbourne International is an ATP 250 and WTA 500 grass court tournament held annually in June before The Championships at Wimbledon.
Otherwise known as the Rothesay International for sponsorship reasons, the tournament originally started as a WTA tournament, only to join forces with the ATP as a combined event in 2009.
For 2023, the Eastbourne International’s total prize money amounts to €723,655 for the ATP, which translates to $789,735 and £621,322 at the time of writing.
On the women’s side, total WTA prize money amounts to €715,321 or $780,637 and £614,085. In both cases, these purses represent the largest in the tournament’s history and a 3.76% bump for the men and a 3% increase for the ladies year over year.
The men’s champion in singles will receive a check for €110,070, which equates to 15% of the total purse. On the other hand, the runner-up will pocket €64,205, 42% less than the winner and 9% of the total.
Meanwhile, the women’s singles champion will earn €110,112, while the runner-up will take home €67,961.
In doubles, the ATP team crowned champs this year will share €38,250, while the WTA team will split €36,747. The doubles runner-ups will earn €20,460 and €22,265, respectively.

2023 Full Breakdown
The Eastbourne International consists of two events, singles, and doubles. Between the two, roughly 80% of prize money funds singles, while the remaining 20% goes to the doubles event, as is typical with ATP & WTA tournaments.
Beyond disciple, prize money breaks down further by how far a player progresses through the tournament. The better a player’s result, the more they get paid. For example, the ATP and WTA winner in singles will earn over 14 times as much as a player who loses in the first round.
The following tables outline Eastbourne International’s prize money by round for singles and doubles, including historical data. Please note that I’ve used the prior year’s exchange rate on the day of the final to convert prize money to US dollars and sterling pounds.
