Libema Open, ‘S-Hertogenbosch Prize Money
2024 Breakdown & Historicals
The Libema Open in ‘S-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands, is one of the first grass court tournaments after the clay court swing concludes at Roland Garros, running alongside the Boss Open.
Founded in 1990, the Libema Open is an ATP & WTA 250 tournament and is considered a crucial stop en route to Wimbledon, which begins at the start of July.
Since its inception, three Dutch players have hoisted the trophy, including Richard Krajicek, Sjeng Schalken, and, most recently, Tim Van Rijthoven, defeating Daniil Medvedev in 2022.
In 2024, the ATP prize money reaches an all-time high of €690,135, which translates to $735,132 or £595,119, equating to a minor 2% bump over last year.
Likewise, the WTA players will fight for a €267,082 purse, the most ever for the ladies, translating to $288,581 and £225,711 for a minor 3% bump compared to the prior year.
The men’s singles champion will take home €98,557, and the winner on the women’s side will receive a check for €30,650, with the runner-ups earning €57,486 and €18,110, respectively.
In the smaller doubles events, the championship ATP team will share €34,237, while their competitors will work to earn €18,316.
In the following sections, I’ll provide a detailed overview and complete breakdown of the Libema Open’s prize money and historical data for reference and quick comparison. Currency conversions from euros to US dollars and sterling pounds are available for quick reference.

2024 Full Breakdown
The Libema Open hosts singles and doubles events, with 80% of prize money distributed to the former and 20% to the latter. This split is partially due to the size of the draw, as there are 32 players in singles and only 16 teams in doubles – a typical setup for ATP and WTA tournaments.
Within each event, we can break prize money down further by round, with a player’s earnings increasing as they progress deeper into the tournament. As a point of reference, the men’s singles champion will walk away with 14 times as much prize money as a player exiting in the first round. On the women’s side, the winner will earn 12 times more than those who exit the first round.
The following tables break down prize money per round by year – you can scroll left to right to view historical numbers. I’ve converted prize money to US dollars and sterling pounds, which I calculate using the prior year’s exchange rate on the day of the final for a close approximation of value.

Prize Money by Year
Every year organizers at the Libema Open set prize money based on the prior year’s success and projected revenues, including the money they earn from ticket sales, sponsorships, merchandise, and concessions.
The tournament has a positive track record of increasing prize money, but there are years where it has dropped. For example, in 2008, the total purse for the ATP tournament dropped by 10.7%.
The following table outlines the yearly ATP and WTA prize money for the Libema Open since 2000.
